Internationalization

• CrESIT has a branch that researches on the topics related to internationalization.
• In addition to the research guidelines defined by the Scientific Committee, the Center develops studies and reports commissioned by private companies and institutions. Recent examples of research carried out by the Center are:
  • Report: "The internationalization of Italian firms in Eastern Europe: evidence and perspectives". The study carried out by the Center analyzed over 1,600 Italian companies that have opened new branches/subsidiaries in Eastern Europe. The report was published by the ecomic journal “Sinergie” and presented in Varese on January 16th, 2007.
  • Report: "The internationalization of Italian companies in Tunisia". The study carried out by the Center aims at analysing the nearly 300 Italian companies in the textile industry which have chosen to locate in the North Africa. The research was presented during a press conference on May 15^th, 2007.
• The Center offers advice and consultancy for Italian companies that want to set internationalization/relocation policy and for foreign firms and multinationals that want to test different locations in Italy. We could quote the following project:
  • MIP Project for the internationalization of Italian companies in Russia, sponsored by the “Consorzio Cotone Moda”. The project was presented during a press conference on May 19 th, 2008.
