On Monday, November 23rd, at Ville Ponti, Varese, will be organized the second CrESIT-ASSOBIOTEC Workshop, an international event for biotechnologies designed to think at different levels (academic, managerial and political) about the troubles of the sector and the future actions to support its development.
To inaugurate the work was invited the Minister of Education, University and Research, Mariastella Gelmini.
Key Note, for the 2009 edition, is Gary Pisano, Professor at Harvard Business School, the world's leading expert in technology-based business such as biotech and pharmaceutical companies. At the Workshop there will be also important managers such as Lisa Conte, CEO of Napo Pharmaceuticals, Marina Del Bue, General Manager of MolMed (the first and still the only publicly traded biotech company in Italy), Francesco Sinigaglia, founder and former CEO of BioXell and members of the financial world as Seghezzi Graziano, partner of Sofinnova Partners, a French venture capital firm.
The Workshop will also host the intervention of Marco Baggiolini, Chairman of the Tecnopolo Lugano and President Emeritus of the University of Italian Switzerland, one of the most cited immunologists in the world.
"We are particularly proud" reports Professor Onetti, Director of CrESIT "of the panel that we were able to compose for this edition. The speakers who have accepted our invitation - for their prestige and experience - will surely provide important insights to the Italian industrial policy makers as well as contributions to support decisions of entrepreneurs and managers".
